This has been said about past World Cups but it really looks like this one will be a shitshow. Combine high ticket prices with the war with Iran, political infighting, ICE protests, residents having to get permits to park in their own neighborhood and you got yourself a big mess in a country that doesn't even care about soccer. That's the wild thing. Politicians and NFL owners are bending over backwards to appease FIFA like replacing turf fields with grass, renaming the stadiums, eating all the costs to run this tournament, etc like we should be grateful that this soccer tournament is blessing us with their presence. At least I can laugh at the soccer fans complaining about how expensive it is to attend games after they bragged about how the World Cup is 100x bigger than the Super Bowl. That and them bitching about the hot/wet weather.
